2012 The MRC Career Development Award, UK

Postgraduate Phd The application of existing research fellow MRC and post-doctoral researchers returning from abroad are very welcome. Applicants who hold an MSc research oriented and has done graduate work right at least four years of research - such as in medical statistics - may be considered.
As with all MRC scholarship, this award is not available to the people who hold tenured academic positions at the time of application. If you hold a tenured position, you can ask for funding under one of the MRC's grant schemes.
There are Postgraduate Phd no residence eligibility restrictions for this fellowship.

It includes an option of two years of research training outside the UK, in British industry, or in other British research center, to enable colleagues to gain transferable techniques and new skills. The Postgraduate Phd scheme also provides a jointly funded postdoctoral award in partnership with the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
